William is consideret to be the greatest dramatist all over the world.
He was born in Stratford upon Avon in 1564 as a son of a glove-maker.
He attended local grammar school.
At the age of 18 he married Ann Hathaway who was 8 years older (they have 2 daughters and one son who died when he was 11).
Later he went to London and joined a group of actors.
First he wrote and adapted older plays, after he started to write his own plays and he was very succesful.
Finally he bought the Globe Theatre in London.
After his son´s death he came back to Stratford.
He died on the same day (23 rd of April) as he was born in 1616.

Who could have done it. – Kdo to mohl udělat. (pochybnost menší)
He may have done it. – Asi to udělal. (možná)
He might have done it. – Mohl to udělat (ale neudělal – výčitka)
He must have done it. Určitě to udělal. (jistota)
He needn´t have done it. – Nemusel to udělat (ale udělal – zbytečnost)

(He didn´t have done it. – Nemusel to udělat – tudíž to neudělal)
