The biggest cities in Britain (London, Newcastle upon Tyne, Liverpool, Glasgow) have the underground system. It’s called a tube in London and it is the oldest underground in the world-built in 1863. It operates under the ground.

Youth hostels-used mainly by students-they are organized in UK with the exception of Scotland in Youth Hostels Association. It was founded in 30’s. The first idea was to build cheap accommodation in the countryside where students could learn more about the country. Nowadays they are also in big cities and you may use it even as an adult but you can’t pay student prices (26). They are not as comfortable as hotels (sleep in big rooms-60 people).
